Sales Consultant for our customers in the US (d/f/m)

Our team in New York City continues to expand and is looking for a Sales Consultant (d/m/f).

Plunet Inc. develops and distributes the Business and Workflow Management Software “Plunet BusinessManager”, one of the world’s leading management solutions for the translation and localization industry.

Your tasks include the sales of our software and services, with the main focus on consulting our national and international prospects and customers. Plunet customers are leading translation agencies, governmental organizations and NGOs, as well as large international industrial, financial and service companies. Plunet sales are characterized by intensive and customer-oriented project proposals, so you should enjoy working with your prospects and customers to develop solutions and give specific product presentations.

You will either work from our office located in Manhattan or remotely, and you should enjoy regular business trips. As part of our team, you will make new contacts and meet exciting people and companies at international conferences.

Responsibilities

  • You present our software solution at industry conferences, in tool demos and public webinars to attract new customers.
  • You consult prospective customers on the best Plunet solutions for their specific requirements and use-cases to create mutually beneficial, long-lasting business relationships.
  • You respond to request for proposals and set up guided proof of concept phases with your prospects.
  • You are responsible for all phases of the sales process from first contact until contract signature; including requirement analysis, tool demos, process consulting, quote creation and contract negotiation.
  • You are passionate about supporting your prospective clients during the evaluation phase and coordinate a smooth handover to the implementation team after contract signature.
  • Together with your team, you help optimize sales strategies based on changing market needs and customer requirements.
  • You work closely with other teams, such as account management, implementation, support, marketing and product management to improve our product continuously.
  • You travel to industry events, conferences and customers sites to represent Plunet throughout North and South America.

Your profile

  • You bring business knowledge and professional experience in sales and have worked in a similar position for at least 5 years.
  • You have experience working in the translation industry.
  • You have technical understanding /working experience with Plunet BusinessManager or similar translation management software.
  • You count on working experience and education, with a completed degree in Business management (or similar background).
  • You enjoy presenting software – online, at conferences, events and on-site meetings with prospective and existing customers.
  • You have a very good command of English (written and spoken, C1 level). Other language skills (especially Spanish, French or German) are a plus.
  • You are a strong team player with excellent communication and writing skills.
  • You have an independent and proactive working style.
  • You want to contribute to a quickly growing company.
  • Equally important, you have a sense of humor and you find it easy to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
