UI / UX Designer with focus on Design System (gn) 25h/week

Plunet is a globally recognized software company with offices in Berlin, Würzburg and New York. We develop and distribute Plunet BusinessManager, the leading business and translation management system for the translation industry. Our customers are leading translation agencies, government organizations, and NGOs, as well as large international industrial and service companies.

Tasks

• You are responsible for the future look and feel of the application.
• You work within the product team to conceptualize and develop new features in our software
• You create a design system basically from scratch taking inspiration from the existing UI while improving legacy components.
• You collaborate with front-end developers and help them build up a component library.
• You participate in interdisciplinary workshops to gather ideas for solving complex usability problems providing the best User Experience
• You help product owners to create mockups for new features and components in the early stage of a project
• You work together with our user researcher to provide interactive prototypes for user testing.
• You take part in implementation reviews to make sure the UI meets the design requirements

Requirements

• Very good methodological knowledge of the design thinking process as well as an experienced approach to exploring problem and solution spaces.
• Conceptual thinking and effective communication of your ideas is a matter of course for you.
• You have good experience in using, maintaining and developing a design system
• You have professional skills with design interface and prototyping tools (Figma, Adobe XD, etc)
• You have experience in collaborating with front-end teams and a basic knowledge in frontend language (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
• You have already worked in agile teams and working with remote teams is no challenge for you.
• You have Very good English skills, German is a plus
