ATRIL and Plunet GmbH have announced the signing of a technology partnership agreement.
A kick-off meeting took place recently between the two companies to produce an end-to-end management solution for the translation and technical writing industries. Plunet Business Manager leverages a workflow system to enhance the management of translation processes as well as sales and documentary processes.
Yannick Bétis, Atril CEO commented: “This partnership with Plunet is the first of many scheduled for 2012. Further to the Atril takeover just over a year ago, I decided that the top development priority was to ensure full interoperability between Déjà Vu and other major players in our sector. Our solutions have always been fully compatible, with an open outlook and I intend to continue this business philosophy developed by the software author Emilio Benito. This is a first step that heralds other huge developments through to Déjà Vu’s 20th anniversary in 2013. We are delighted with this partnership and I am pleased that the preparatory meetings to implement this solution went very smoothly, in a constructive and pleasant atmosphere.”
Stefan Dümig, Plunet CEO stated: “Customer orientation is one reason why ‘Plunet BusinessManager’ is the world’s leading business and translation management system. So for us, systematic integration with other leading technologies like Déjà Vu from Atril is an absolute must. Our goal is to offer the translation industry an integrated, highly automated business, workflow and translation management system—all combined on a single platform: Plunet, Atril and Plunet customers will benefit equally from our ongoing collaboration with Atril and the synergies it generates.“
