Plunet releases version 5.1 of Plunet BusinessManager, its leading business and translation management system. The new developments and improvements are all about the Plunet core competences of automation, integration and quality, and they support customer-oriented and efficient corporate guidance for translation departments and language service providers. Shorten deliver times at the push of a button. The new delivery dialog in Plunet BusinessManager standardizes and automates the many different customer-specific delivery processes which take place at translation service providers. In just a few intuitive steps, you can compile complete delivery packages for your clients with as many documents and jobs as required, and then zip them up and send them out. This can be delivered in the customer´s preferred delivery format, for example via e-mail as a download link, as an attachment or via FTP transfer. In addition to the fast and user-friendly process of compiling these delivery packages and the many available delivery options, the new module has additional options for the efficient management of time and quality-sensitive work processes. For example, Plunet users can quickly and easily create their delivery notes on the fly - either as a printout, e-mail or PDF file. The regular updates to the various project and job statuses which are so important for smooth and professional document handling are also managed via the delivery dialog in a solution which is both time-saving and well laid out. The delivery dialog is offered as standard and at no extra cost for all Plunet customers from version 5.1.
Plunet supports DIN EN 15038 – Evaluate employees and their work with Plunet BusinessManager. With version 5.1, Plunet provides flexible and wide-ranging tools for assessing internal and external employees with the aid of a 100-point system. For example, user-specific evaluation criteria such as linguistic competence, speed of delivery etc. can be defined and weighted differently according to relevance. In order to improve quality control, Plunet customers can allocate a threshold value to every criterion. If an employee fails to achieve the minimum required number of points or drops below a threshold value then the system will automatically send an alarm to the Plunet customer. Assessments which have been performed can be allocated to their respective evaluation periods, after which they can be called up at any time. Thus the development of the employee can be monitored and documented.
The customer is king! Plunet customer portal with new functions and improvements. The adjustable customer portal in Plunet BusinessManager offers translation service providers and their customers standardized and clearly managed communications throughout the entire translation process. Customers have a quick and easy access to send requests, obtain quotes, place orders and perform many different queries. All of the document and file handling can be processed transparently via the customer portal. From version 5.1 onwards the customer can define his default language combination with a single click. This default setting is then automatically pre-selected whenever a new quote is requested. This helps to standardize the process and saves time. The new customer registration function also stands out with further customer-friendly improvements. If a customer registers for the first time via the company website of a Plunet customer, then he receives the confirmation e-mail in the language which was used for the registration. In this way, Plunet supports consistent communications with new customers right from the start. The security of Plunet users has also been addressed in version 5.1. The registration of new customers is now protected with a safety mechanism (CAPTCHA) which prevents unwanted registrations by malware or other harmful programs.
Plunet 5.1 – The management software which speaks your language. Plunet BusinessManager offers a large number of freely selectable interface languages to enable extensive flexibility and user-friendliness to translation service providers and their international clientele. Alongside English, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Chinese, Plunet has now also been localized into Portuguese, Russian and Polish. This is a response to the strong increase in demand from Eastern Europe and the so-called BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China).
New interfaces: Plunet BusinessManager integrates leading industry solutions for integrated translation management processes. As of version 5.1, Plunet offers an interface to the text recognition software ABBYY FineReader. In addition to the already existing links to Sage, QuickBooks, DATEV, SAF-T and a number of market-specific solutions, Plunet now also has a powerful interface to the ADDISON accounting software, which enables a bi-directional exchange of data between both systems. Plunet´s quality awareness is also reflected in the new software which has been integrated. In connecting the ErrorSpy Quality Suite, one of the leading products worldwide for quality assurance and quality management, the business and project management functions of Plunet have been expanded by an essential component. This is currently offered by no other project management system available on the market. You can automatically check, analyze and query the quality of translations directly from Plunet, as well as initiating corrective measures where needed. The described interfaces are available as expansion packs for all versions of Plunet BusinessManager.
